The
mission of this District was to provide its students with a safe, nurturing
school environment, where educators, parents and the community join together
to ensure success for all of its children.
Our goal was to come up with a fresh look that
retained some of the basic elements of the old design (i.e. a number "8"
and tagline. We
developed 50-60 logo variants over six stages until a logo was chosen.
Over
60 color combinations were explored to come up with colors that embodied
the mark. The colors had to convey stability without being stodgy, and
innovated without being inappropriately playful.
